Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) is the chief international airport serving Beijing. It is located about 32 km northeast of Beijing’s city center in a commune of Chaoyang District. The airport started operating on 2nd March 1958 with just one small terminal building and since then, it has been expanded and renovated over the years to become the second busiest in the world.
