Beirut Airport (BEY) is located approximately 9 kilometers from the central business district of Lebanon. The airport is the only commercial facility that is operational in the country and hence is he home for Lebanon’s flag carrier. The airport has been operating since its opening in 23rd April 1954.
Beirut Transportation
From Beirut Airport to the city and other destinations around Beirut, the mostly used type of transport is taxi and cars but there is no public transportation. You may choose to use LCC Bus Route 1, which drops you at Rue Sadat in Hamra. If you take LCC Bus Route 5, you will be dropped at Charles Helou bus station and take another bus to the city.
