Keflavik Airport (KEF) is an international airport, which is the largest in Iceland. All international flights use this facility as a hub. The airport is located 3.1 kilometers on the west of Keflavik city. International travelers have to come or leave through this airport and hence it is always busy with travel activities. Since it basically handles international flights only, if you would like to fly domestically after you have landed at Keflavik Airport, you will then have to head to Reykjavik Airport where you will catch a local flight to your destination.
