Donkeys are very common in Morocco and you should not be surprised if they cause traffic snarl-up. When you see them, make sure you have driven your rented car at low speed not to knock them down. Their owners can even kill you in case you hit the donkeys since they value them a lot. To be safe, make sure you have understood the times they are on the roads to drive peacefully. Camels and goats are other animals that can cause some dangers while driving in Morocco. Always look for road signs to know where these animals frequent. You will not run away from driving when in Morocco thus make sure you have understood everything about that. Even when you hire a car, it will be advisable to drive yourself rather than hire a driver.
